39 wks 4 days...any guesses?!

Here are some much requested belly pictures. They were taken Friday and today. We are so ready to have this baby. Believe me I've been trying everything to induce labor including a nice big tumble in Belk's parking lot yesterday...embarrassing.

I know I'm super behind on blogging. I have to upload pictures of the super cute shower that my friends at work threw me but I'm having technical difficulties with the fancy pants camera my parents lent us to see if we want to purchase one. Hopefully when momma comes (and hopefully this week) she will be able to upload them.

Due date is on Thursday the 15th. Any guesses on when baby boy is going to make his grand entrance? Daddy said yesterday....nope. Mana said today....unless I have a super amazingly short labor than nope. Momma thinks tomorrow and Trev's guess is the 18th oh gosh I should beat him for saying that:)

KY Shower!

A couple weekends ago Trev and I went up to Kentucky where my sweet sister and parents threw us a shower. The shower was absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. The theme was honoring our new "little gentleman." There were adorable bow ties everywhere. Mom and Elle thought about every detail. They made my favorite cookies into bow ties with my favorite frosting, along with cupcakes with my favorite frosting. The invitations were sent out with bike stamps in honor of Trev. It was so sweet and I have loads of pictures so basically I feel like this post is a big photo dump! ENJOY:)

I feel so bad that this is one of two pictures I got of my Daddy:(

Three generations....soon to be four!

Trev showing off his new toy...this had nothing to do with the shower and happened before guests arrived.

Instead of cards everyone gave us a book. Also between each present we opened we had to draw a question out of a bowl and answer it, it was fun to hear Trev answer questions about pregnancy/baby and visa versa.

Mom and Dad got Trev this amazing Kelty backpack hiking carrier for the shower. He was SO excited. Tonight he was even talking about how he can't wait to take our little man on hikes this spring. :)

Birthday and a Bumpdate!

This weekend was my 27th birthday. Trev and my parents did a super job making my day special. I came down in the morning to streamers and a Happy Birthday sign and my parents came in Friday evening with a fresh German Chocolate cake (organic of course) and presents.

We had a tremendous weekend celebrating and getting things ready for our little guy. Whenever mom and dad come to visit we put them to work:) Mom helped wash all of his clothes and diapers and Dad did some touch up painting. They are always a huge help!

Dad kayaks while Trev swims in front of him to train for his tri at the end of the month. That is not our yard our neighbor decided he wanted to kill his grass and start "fresh."

Both of these pictures were taken at 29.5 weeks!

Our little guy at 28 weeks he's currently in the 67th percentile.

Sneak peak of the nursery...not the green paint just the oars!:)

Michigan Trip

Trev and I made a last minute decision to head up to Michigan for a while and visit family and friends. We realized that we probably would not make it up for another year since the little guy is coming late this fall. We got a lot accomplished and saw tons people we love!

We first went to GR where Trev was able to play in a soccer game with several of his college soccer buds. However the best part was seeing one of my dear friends from college who lives in Ecuador. I also got to meet her precious baby girl.
Hannah, Emma, and Me
We are two weeks apart!

Then we headed to Mackinaw Island where Trev competed in his tri. He did a stellar job and got 1st in his age group and 6th overall. His dad also competed in the tri. It was a great thing that they could do together.

Beautiful Mackinaw Bridge

We headed up to the Upper Peninsula to visit my family's cottage. I hadn't been in seven years and I wanted Trev to see where I went growing up. It was nice to see some extended family members and my grandparents.

After the UP we went back down to Traverse City. I swear this town is paradise in the summer, even though summer is only 3 months long up there.
After the Tour de Tart! A 20 mile bike ride, it was so fun:)

Lastly we headed down to the Detroit area where Trev's aunt gave me a wonderful shower. I felt so blessed and I know this little guy is already dearly loved. It was a great way to end our vacation. Now I'm just prepping myself to start school tomorrow.

Master Bedroom Makeover

A dear friend once told me that pregnancy insomnia is just preparing you for the lack of sleep you will get when the baby comes. If anyone knows me well they know that I DO NOT wake up early on my own. Well, here I am sitting in my parents living room at 5:50 am, so I decided to blog.

Nesting is in full effect at the Christie household. Earlier this week I called my parents and begged and pleaded with them to come help me paint my master bedroom. When I married Trev he made it very clear that he would never be painting. My parents obliged and we met them at Lowes at 9:30 pm to pick out paint.

I only have one "before" picture and the quality isn't great because I took it on my ipad but I have some great "after" pictures. Dad said that my new room reminds him of a coastal cottage, mom is painting her bedroom a light blue, and Trev said he didn't realize how much painting could change a room:)
